An egg is an egg, right? How much difference can there be in
one of the most basic food products we regularly eat? Here is a picture of two
eggs. One is the product of the vertically integrated agribusinesses so prevalent
in our modern society while the other comes from a subsistence farm. Do you see the difference?
I'm not sure if these English or Spanish, but here is my first entry:
ResponderEliminarMy idea of Spanish food has always been fish. I always imagine fish being the most commonly eaten food in Spain. From what I've heard, the Spanish usually eat light breakfasts of coffee and bread or pastries. They usually eat a very heavy lunch, and a light dinner late at night. This will be an adjustment for me because I am accustomed to eating heaviest during breakfast, eating a light snack every few hours, and being done with all meals by around five or six P.M.
I do see a difference between the two eggs. The one on the left seems to have less egg whites.
Felicia you are right in thinking fish is a staple to the Spanish diet. Tomorrow we will see how important fresh fish is locally even though Salamanca is 4 hours from a Spanish port.
